Administrative Staff - Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Payment for electric and cable can be made from 8:30-4:00 daily. We are located at 582 Sixth Street at Highland. From Broadway, travel up Center Avenue to Highland. Turn right on Highland to the stop sign at Sixth Street. The municipal building is on your right. You can reach us at 412-372-6500
Administration
Borough Manager - The daily operations of the Borough are administered by the borough manager. The manager is responsible for the daily administration of the Borough under the direction of Borough Council. The manager oversees all employees of the borough which includes Administration, Public Works, Pitcairn Power and Pitcairn Community Cable.
Real Estate Tax Collector
Local & School Real Estate Tax is collected by Sally DiRobbio, an elected tax collector. Her office is located at 222 Center Avenue, Pitcairn. Office hours are: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30-1:00 June through October Only: Mondays 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. November through May: Monday evenings by appointment only . Please call to set up an appointment. Borough of Pitcairn taxes are mailed June 1. Everyone who owns property within the Borough of Pitcairn should receive a real estate tax bill. If you do not receive a tax bill, contact the office at the number below.
Discount period (2%) June 1-July 31, 2008 - Face amount August 1-September 30, 2007 - Penalty begins October 1, 2007. Pitcairn Power
Pitcairn is one of the few municipalities in Pennsylvania that operates it's own power distribution system.
Pitcairn Power purchases power from the open market and transmits it through it's own substation and lines to the businesses and residents of the town. This stable source of power offers electricity at a lower cost to the consumer while providing an additional source of revenue to offset other taxes imposed by the Borough
Pitcairn Community Cable TV
Pitcairn Community Cable (PCC) is one of the few municipal-owned Cable TV operations within the state. The cable system broadcasts to every home and commercial building within Pitcairn. PCC is a member of the National Cable Trust Co-op that assists small cable operators in obtaining franchise agreements with major broadcasters at a competetive rate. Operating our own Cable TV franchise enables the Borough to provide a high-quality veiwing experience at a substantial cost savings to the consumer.
Street Department
The four-man street department is responsible for the physical condition of the Borough. This includes maintenance of the roads, public parks, storm sewers and all Borough owned property.
Pitcairn Police Department
The Pitcairn Police Department is under the direction of newly appointed Chief Dave Palermo. Chief Palermo is supported by two full-time and eleven part-time officers to complement the force.
