When & where does the Pitcairn Council meet?
Pitcairn Council meets on the 3rd and 4th Tuesday each month at the Borough Building in Council Chambers. The meeting on the 3rd Tuesday is an open and informal meeting and open discussion is encouraged. The meeting on the 4th Tuesday is the regular council business meeting and comments can be made about agenda items only by signing in prior to the start of the meeting. Both meeting start at 7:00pm
Who is on Pitcairn Council?
The Council is made up of seven members, who are elected at-large, meaning there are no specific districts in which a candidate runs for office. Each of the Council members represents the entire constituency. The Mayor is also elected by the entire constituency to preside for a four-year term. Council members are elected for four-year overlapping terms.
