Update
Pitcairn's Comprehensive Plan Task Force was formed in February and meets weekly to outline the planning process and philosophy, which includes community values and visions, data collection and problem definition, alternatives analysis, preferred direction, plan development and implementation strategies and discussed how this process ties in with other issues facing the community. The visioning process participants included citizen input at three scheduled public meetings, representatives of Pitcairn Council, Pitcairn Planning Commission, Pitcairn Zoning Board, community organizations and property and business owners. The visioning process will focus on visioning techniques, special challenges facing Pitcairn, and quality of life issues. The Comprehensive Plan Task Force will involve a constant flow and interaction process among members and all involved in the plan.
